The Ninth District Dental Society Relief Fund is a dedicated 501(c)(3) charitable foundation established to provide immediate financial relief, confidential emergency assistance, and benevolent aid to licensed dentists, clinical specialists, dental team members, and their dependents facing catastrophic life events across the Hudson Valley. Operating in close alignment with the Ninth District Dental Society, the New York State Dental Association (NYSDA), and the American Dental Association (ADA) Relief Fund, the organization serves as a vital safety net for professionals operating throughout Westchester, Rockland, Dutchess, Putnam, Orange, and Ulster counties. Founded on the principle that the dental professional community must care for its own during times of crisis, the Relief Fund provides financial grants to colleagues impacted by severe illness, total disability, sudden natural disasters, accidental hardship, or tragic family loss.
Confidential Emergency Hardship Grants
We process and distribute confidential emergency assistance grants to help practitioners and their families cover essential living expenses, ongoing medical bills, or practice disruption costs brought on by sudden disability or illness.
Natural Disaster & Practice Recovery Relief
When sudden natural disasters, such as flooding or severe storm damage, impact practices in the Hudson Valley corridor, the Relief Fund steps in with emergency grants to aid practitioners in stabilizing their lives and maintaining business continuity.
Dependent & Survivor Benevolent Assistance
The Relief Fund extends its protective umbrella to surviving spouses and dependents of deceased dental professionals, providing temporary financial bridge support during periods of extreme transition or hardship.
Tax-Deductible Community Stewardship
Supported entirely through voluntary contributions, bequest gifts, and fundraising initiatives by fellow dentists and industry partners, the Fund operates with complete fiscal transparency to maximize direct support to regional colleagues in need.
